Our client is looking for an experienced 3rd Line Technical Support Engineer / Analyst to provide technical support to their operational environment by responding to and attempting to resolve application and hardware alerts in a timely and efficient manner; resolving escalated incidents as well as completing Service Requests and other smaller work.
You must be technically proficient across a broad range of systems and will share the responsibility for the availability of them, by ensuring that adequate monitoring and alerting of both new and existing applications and hardware exists.
As an experienced 3rd Line Technical Support Engineer/Analyst, you should have a good selection of experience with the following:
- DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, WIFI, MPLS, Ethernet, IP;
- Avaya (Blue), Intel, VMware, Operating Systems (Windows, Linux);
- IBM V7000, Flex.
You must also have:
- Excellent multi-tasking skills;
- The ability to prioritise work;
- A desire to learn and adapt to changes to the technical environment;
- A flexible approach to work in terms of out of hours' activity.
